Utility & Parks Department
The objective of the Utility & Parks Department is to ensure City buildings and properties are well maintained and available for the enjoyment of the citizens in the community. This department is also responsible for the water and sewer facilities, water treatment, water distribution, wastewater treatment and collection facilities and monthly meter reading.
The Utility & Parks shop is located at 303 Navarre. Department personnel include the Utility & Parks Department Superintendent and one full-time utility employee. Part-time employees are hired on an as needed basis. Personnel are available during normal business hours, 8 a.m.–3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday at (785) 584-6811.

Water or Sewer Problems
If you experience a water or sewer problem during business hours, call City Hall at 584-6155
After hours, weekends or holidays call City Hall at 584-6155 and your call will be directed to an emergency number so that a Utility employee can respond.
