Rossville Tall Corn Festival
In the heart of the Kaw Valley, families from across the land gather for music, parades, and corn! Celebrated for over 75 years, the Rossville Tall Corn Festival is held on the second weekend in August. The three day event has something for everyone including a corn spitting contest, corn-on-the-cob eating contest, and the official judging of the tallest corn stalk. Don’t miss this family celebration only in America’s heartland.

History of Rossville

The City of Rossville was founded in 1871 by pioneers who established a settlement on the banks of Cross Creek. The City is named after William W. Ross. Visit the award-winning website created by 8th grade students on our historic history.
Rossville features one of the best parks around. With a wide variety of playground equipment, athletic facilities, and family gathering spots, there is always a great place to enjoy Rossville. Youth baseball and softball programs are a common attraction during the summer.
