CDBG Funding Door-To-Door Survey To Be Conducted
The City of Rossville has retained Governmental Assistance Services (GAS) from Lawrence, KS to conduct a Low-to-Moderate Income survey to potentially qualify the city for Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding. A Community Development Block Grant could help offset the costs of future infrastructure and community facilities projects, potentially saving the city hundreds of thousands of dollars.
Representatives from GAS will be conducting the survey door-to-door beginning on May 29, 2026. Addresses will be visited using a random sample methodology, so not all households will be asked to participate. The survey professionals will knock at your door, identify themselves, and ask five brief questions. Each survey will take less than one minute, and all survey responses will remain strictly confidential. Surveyors are expected to complete the survey in two weeks or less, depending on weather conditions.
Your participation in this survey is crucial to determine eligibility that would allow the city to apply for CDBG funding. If you have any questions about the survey, please call City Hall at (785)584-6155.
