Rossville Community Library Provides VITA to Community

1/8/2024 2:39:00 PM

A new year is upon us yet again as is the beginning of a new tax season. The Rossville Community Library is providing the VITA program to help community members get their taxes done in an efficient and cost friendly manner. Volunteer Income Tax Assistance (VITA) is a program in which IRS certified volunteers help individuals complete tax returns for free!

VITA volunteers will be at the Rossville Community Library on the first Saturday of February, March, and April from 9:00am-2:00pm. No appointment is necessary. VITA paperwork can also be picked up at the Rossville Community Library and filled out remotely. If the finished paperwork is returned to the Rossville Community Library by April 1st, 2024 a VITA volunteer will reach out with an e file for the completed tax return.

Questions can be directed to the Rossville Community Library at director@rossvillelibrary.org and (785)584-6454 or the Shawnee County Extension Office at (785)232-0062.
